This weblog is designed as a new technique to allow my Honor English I students the opportunity to use technology as a learning tool. As we are reading the well-known play Romeo and Juliet, there will be blog questions related to class discussions as well as the reading.

There will be approximately 25 posts for this play; however, only 20 of those posts are required! Any additional posts after the required 20 will be extra credit. There will be specific posts that everyone must respond to.  There will be an asterisk (*) to indicate which posts are required. Responses to posts should be insightful of the plot, author’s purpose, as well as create further discussion among peers.  Simply restating another person’s ideas or comments will not count towards the total required posts. As a class we will discuss when each post should be due. Keep in mind that this is a “learning tool”; hence, we shouldn’t procrastinate on discussions.
