Act 2 Scenes 1-2

Posted by msjjohnson on April 20, 2008

I don’t know if anyone realizes this, but I am thrilled that the majority of our class is being actively involved in this assignment.  We did an outstanding job at articulating our own thoughts this week as well as commenting on others posts. Thanks, that makes this more interesting to read. Ok, we will begin reading Act 2 this week. We need to hurry up and finish this play because we do have other novels to read. So, with that said, here are a few questions to answer- Yes, Leecia, extra credit will be given if you write on more than just one.

1. Explain how imagery and figures of speech make Scene 2 one of the most beautiful scenes in the play. Describe the imagery and figures of speech and illustrate how they are used.

2. Explain the purpose of Scenes 1 and 2.

3. Discuss Juliet’s concerns in the balcony scene.
