Ladies and gentlemen, this is a bit different than our first blog post. I am going to give an option of responding to one of three discussion prompts. I think this will eliminate everyone from commenting on the same exact post; it will give a little life to our discussions. Again, you do not have to comment on all three topics; however, I would like to see more people commenting on others comments. Take the time to read what your peers wrote and then comment. This is a form of discussion. This must be done by Sunday by 11:59 p.m. (yeah, I know, I have to get the time stamp together. I am working on it!)
Remember, you only have to respond to one and it has to be at least 100 words long. Include text support, be inventive, and attempt to comment on peer’s comments. For those of you that are dying to write on more than just one prompt, go for it. A small extra credit incentive may be available.
1. Compare the love that Romeo feels for Juliet to the love that he felt for Rosaline.
2. Explain the imagery of light and dark in Act I and how it is used as symbols for Rosaline and Juliet.
3. How does Shakespeare use humor in Act I?
