The Operation of Fate in my understanding means: it was meant to be in a instance. It was a power or force held to predetermine events. For example: when Romeo saw Juliet it was love at first sight.Romeo had to speak with Juliet as soon as possible because he caught her beauty in a way that made them both fall in love with one another. The party seemed to be the fate for both of the lovers because if Romeo was thrown out of the party because of different adversaries;the Operation of Fate would not exist between Romeo and Juliet.

The Operation of Fate in my understanding is something that is inevitably predetermined; destiny. What I mean by this is something that we can’t see, like death, for instance. None of us can see death because we’re living life and we haven’t got to that point yet. Romeo and Juliet were so in love with each other that they were willing to love one another until death did them apart. Anytime when you see yourself going out of your lead for someone else nine times out of ten, it’s love; believe it or not! Romeo thought he was in love with Rosaline, but when he met Juliet he lost all of his feelings for her instanly, and developed something new. He had the faith to walk away, now he has the faith determine his destiny.

The Operation of Fate is something that is unavoidable and destined to happen. In the play, the characters Romeo and Juliet are destined to be with another. Fate brings Romeo to Juliet when Romeo meets one of Lord Capulet’s servants who can’t read and needs to know the name of the people invited to the ball. Romeo helped the servant and was invited to the ball where Juliet would be. Romeo attended the ball and saw Juliet, who he thought was the most beautiful person that he ever seen. With Juliet feeling the same way, they were instantly in love. It was Romeo’s fate to meet the servant and attend the ball where he met Juliet.

From my perspective fate is something that is just meant to happen because things happen for a reason. In Romeo and Juliet fate plays a big role in just about everything. Such as Rosaline and Romeo’s big break-up; if it was not for this Romeo most likely would have never went to the Capulet’s Ball, therefore never getting the oppourtunity to pursue Juliet. Not only that but the fact that Benvolio and him happened to be there to assist the servingman handing out invites, if they were not in the right place at the right time they would have never knew about the party, once again missing the oppourtunity to pursue Juliet. To put it in “Lames” terms fate is like a domino effect, when one thing happens it causes a string of events that possibly would have never happened if that first domino was never knocked down.

However there children fall in love, But people it was love at first site and people don’t believe in love at first site. With a coincident Romeo was invited to the Capulet’s their enemys ball. The Capulets servinman peter didn’t know how to read so he ask Romeo and his cusion Benvolio for help. He accidently invite them. Romeo was in love with this girl named Rosaline she was suppose to be there so he was going. That’s where he met Juliet. It was love at first however there parent’s dont want them together.

The Operation of Fate to me means that when something play roles to lead to an important event. For example when how Romeo was heart broken by Rosaline. However along the way after being heart broken they run into Peter who was delivering invitations for the Capulet’s Party he didnt know how to read so he invitated Romeo and his cousin Benevolio. This was the lead way to the first impression between Romeo and Juliet. When they finally arrived at the party Romeo sees Juliet and “INSTANTLY” falls in love with this young beautiful girl. He forgets all about Rosaline and pays no attention to her at all, he doesn’t even acknowledge her being there. When Romeo and Juliet finally meet it was love at first sight but little they didnt know was that they were enemies. Thats how fate brought these two lovers together.

When Romeo discovers who Juliet is, regardless of the fact that they were born into feuding families; Romeo can’t help but love Juliet because he already loves her before he finds out that she is a Capulet. Therefore, it is fate that he loves Juliet even if it is forbidden. So, when Juliet finds out from the nurse that Romeo is a Montague, she says, “My love sprung from my only hate! Too early seen unknown, and known too late! Prodigious birth of love it is to me That I must love a loathed enemy”….So, since Juliet did not know before that Romeo is an enemy to her family because he is a Montague,… by fate, she begins to love him unconditionally. So, even though Juliet did find out that Romeo is a enemy to her family, it is to late to even try to hate him.

Fate plays a strong role in the book. Romeo is madly in love with rosaline. But rosaline is not in love with him. She will not give him the time on day, but romeo still stress for her love. When he heard she was goin to the capulets ball he felt that this was a oppurtunity to see her again. romeo know though that he was not suppose to go to the ball because he was a montegue and that their families are beefing. knowing that rosaline was going he went anyway. romeo thought that rosaline was the only women for him and that there was no one else for him in the world. When he got there, at first sight he saw juliet. they instantly fell in love. they didnt know each other at all but they know that what they had was true. Juliet did believe in love at all in the begining on the book but when she saw romeo she found out it was real. this is how fate played a strong role in the story.

Fate: something that unavoidably befalls a person (www.dictionary.com 4/13/08)Fate cannot be avoided and it is bound to happen. The concept of fate plays a major role in “Romeo and Juliet”.Romeo and Juliet was supposed to see each other at the Capulet party and “fall in love at first sight”. Now both of them are willing to do anything to be with each other, even though their families are enemies. Everything in life was meant to happen for a reason. Therefore, fate is a strong factor when it comes to Romeo and Juliet’s relationship.

I believe author William Shakespeare, wrote “Romeo and Juliet” in order for the readers to truly understand the meaning of fate.

Romeo and Juliet was based on how meeting each other caused fate. They were from two families that hated each other. Romeo was an older man and Juilet was a very young lady who knew they were in love when they first laid eyes on each other. The Capulets servinman peter didn’t know how to read so he ask Romeo and his cusion Benvolio for help. That’s where he met Juliet. They was really feeling each other even after the nurse told them they were from two families of enemy’s. But that didn’t stop them because they went and got married. But enventually their romance was found out. And there was many problems going on when they got caught. Their romance caused many of young romances in the world today. Many families has problems with people saying they love someone when they have no clue of their history.

I believe that the operation of fate has a huge effect on the novel just as well as my classmates do. If it weren’t for fate many things that were in the novel wouldn’t have occured at all. Because of the fact that Romeo and Juliet’s families were sworn enemies, fate is what actually brings the two of them together. If it weren’t for fate they would not have met at the Capulet’s Ball, in which Romeo was not officially invited; seeing how one of the servingmen gave him an invitation not knowing that he was a Montague. Fate is also what truly causes Romeo and Rosaline to break up. Since fate is something that is already forseen to happen unwllingly before it actually happens, it is basically the cause of everything that goes during the novel.

I stronglt believe that Romeo an Juliet were destint to be together, fate brought them to each other. Romeo was once madly in love with Rosaline; an even was depressed because Rosaline did not love him in return. When Romeo saw Juliet he was instantly fasinated with her. He was deeply in lust, he even quoted ” if I profane with my unworthiest hand This holy shrine, the gentle sin is this: My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss”. This shows that he is in fact in lust with Julit’s features as a women. Yet he wants to know everything about her. He tends to find that they are enemies an are forbidden to be with each other. Romeo grows to love her, he leans to the anonomous, even though he may risk his life just to be with her.

When you use the word fate is speaks out to me an says destiny somthing that’s going to happen no matter what. When used in a sentence many may think the same an relate to them as the same definition. In Romeo in Juliet there was a destiny a final destination that was an is to come. Romeo an Juliet met at a capulet party an later they feel madly in love.Yet they were/are forbidden to be with each other. When Romeo fell for Juliet an when Juliet did the same for Romeo fate led them right there to the future of there life with or without each other. Fate is/was there with them the whole time.

Fate has played a very important role in the novel Romeo and Juliet. It makes everything fall into place. First of all Romeo was madly in love with Rosaline. If it wasn’t for that he probably would have never went to the Capulet’s Ball. Of course, if would have not gone to the ball then he would have never met Juliet. If he never met Juliet then…well, there would be no novel. It was fate for Romeo to be madly in foolish love so that he could stumble upon true love. To be in love with a woman that truly loved him as much as he did her.

What IS fate? Random dictionaries define fate as either something that inevitably befalls a person; ultimate agency by which the order of things is prescribed; that which is inevitably predetermined or desiny; and lastly, foreshadowing declaration of what must be. In the reading, Romeo and his young lover Juliet, are two different people that are attracted to each other not by appearence, but by their surroundings and situations that took place before the metting took place. Fate had absolutely everything to do with the bonding of the two. In example, if fate didn’t exist, Capulet could have easily chosen to have Romeo “taken care of” and had the party continue; or, at the last minute, Romeo could’ve realized who the deliverer worked for and refused to assist him and walked away. So we see that fate has everything to do with this event in the book

Alright everyone, we discussed the first post! Yeah! There were some great comments to our first post. Thanks everyone for participating. Of course, this is for a grade so I hope everyone will participate. If you notice that your friend isn’t posting, pull their coat tail and let them know. Okay, a few things I addressed in class that I want to point out again:
It is obvious that some of you read other posts and put them into your own words; that is not the point. We would like to read your own “unique” thoughts, insights, and comments. Almost everyone agreed that fate had something to do with Romeo and Juliet’s life. If it wasn’t for the life long feud between the Capulets and Montagues or Romeo being heart broken over Rosaline,or Peter not being able to read the invitations,or Lord Capulet not kicking Romeo out of his party the two may not have met…but they did.
LaQuetta and Tina both did an exceptional job at incorporating the text into their responses. By adding quotes, it makes responses sound even more intelligent as well as thought provoked. Again, I enjoyed everyones feedback. Lets keep it going!

I couldn’t help myself. The operation of fate as you put it was a well orchestrated written masterpiece by shakespere. The players Romeo & Juliet were brought together at the party by time, space, and circumstance. Timing is a key factor in Romeo’s intrigue and lust for Juliet; with a heart scorn from Rosaline Juliet peaks his fancy. Juliet, her parents’ jewel, precocious and fascinated by Romeo is curious of the young man and his position at the party. Thus the individuals personal series of events brought them to the crossroads of fate at the party. Fate, intrigue, passion, and the intense adreneline from being with someone your told you can’t be with, fuels the fire for love in the tragic tale.
